The idea behind Treasuring Jesus comes from our desire to see families find their identity, their hope and their highest treasure in Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:8 says, “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.” (ESV)
Our vision is to see families make Jesus their highest treasure. Our culture has experienced a decline in family values. With more than half of marriages ending in divorce, and with children turning to substance abuse and sexual relationships to find value and identity, our desire is to see the family be restored to a place where children are raised knowing their identity is found in Christ. In order for this to happen, parents need to make Jesus the most important person in their family.
